Built Story II LLC ("Built Story," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Built Story platform (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Platform. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password (or Google account details for OAuth users).
  • Professional information: Real estate license number, issuing state, and brokerage details collected during Broker onboarding.
  • Account and address information: Business address, phone number, and other account fields.
  • Post content: Deal listings, descriptions, addresses, images, and documents you upload to the Storyboard.
  • Ad content: Ad creatives, bid amounts, and target market preferences submitted by Vendors.
  • Payment information: Billing details for Vendors, processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: Messages or emails you send to us, including inbound emails processed to create draft posts.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interaction patterns.
  • Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Location data: Geographic region inferred from your IP address or provided explicitly when selecting market regions.
  • Map interactions: Address lookups and map pin placements via Google Maps.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and account picture from Google. We may receive payment-related information from Stripe such as payment method status and transaction confirmations.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and its features.
  • Verify your real estate license and eligibility to use Broker features.
  • Process ad auction bids and charge Vendor payment methods for successful placements.
  • Send transactional emails (email verification, post notifications, billing receipts) via Amazon SES.
  • Enforce our Terms and Conditions and platform policies.
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests.
  • Analyze usage trends to improve the Platform.
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share data with Google (Firebase Auth, Firestore, Maps), Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (email, hosting), and Cloudflare (CDN/security) solely to operate the Platform.
  • Other users: Posts you publish to the Storyboard are visible to other registered Brokers on the Platform.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution.

5. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including Firebase security rules, role-based access controls, and encrypted connections (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices and Rights

6.1 Account Information

You may update your account information through your account settings at any time.

6.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account through the account deletion request feature in your account settings or by contacting us at support@builtstory.com. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.

6.3 Email Communications

You may opt out of non-transactional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those emails. Transactional emails (such as email verification and billing receipts) are required for Platform operation and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

6.4 California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. 7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Google (Firebase, Maps), Stripe, and Amazon Web Services. These services have their own privacy policies, and your use of features powered by them is subject to those policies. We encourage you to review them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance.
